I thought I'd drop a line here. It's been a long time.

News... well, I went overseas from Nov 2007 to Dec 2008. Dan and I spent 8 months in Canada, which was great, Canada is beautiful. I really can't be bothered writing all the details, but I'll just say the Rockies and Montreal/Quebec were awesome. We also went to Las Vegas and New York in that time - they were both cool, but I don't think New York was as good as I thought it would be.

After that we went to Dublin and did a small tour around Southern Ireland, before flying to Finland and spending a month there with my relatives in Lappeenranta and Lahti. From early October 2008 we went to Estonia, Latvia, Hungary (loved it), Romania (loved it), Bulgaria (loved it), Turkey, Czech Republic (loved it) and Denmark, before going to Oulu in Finland and then back to my relatives' place. We flew back 1st of December or around then.

It was ultimately my decision to come back early because I was missing home and I didn't like how fast our money was going. I was all excited about getting back into normal life and getting a job, etc.

Fast forward to now, and I'm fucking miserable. I have NOTHING going on in my life until I start 3rd year of uni in March. One more fucking month of boredom to look forward to. I don't enjoy anything anymore. I feel completely drained of any joy. Dan is good, but he doesn't talk to me enough. If I say I'm upset he asks what's wrong and I tell him every time that I'm completely depressed, but he just shuts down because I guess he doesn't know what to do.

Anyway.

My favourite thing at the moment...

Hello LJ world!

It was my birthday on the 1st, so that's about the only news I have :P I turned 24 (boo) and I got the Crowded House album, ticket to Crowded House concert in November, I went to the Human Nature concert last Friday (fucking great! No, really!), and I got some money and bought myself some gear and a camera for Canada. I'm having a birthday dinner tomorrow night so that should be good.

*sigh* I'm in my 4th day of work in a 35-day long work-a-thon. And I've had this damn cold/flu for about a week and half and it just won't go away properly.

Other than that, not much is news. 20 weeks until I go.

News, news, news? Not much.

I spent the weekend with Dan's family working at their winery, as it was the Shortest Lunch festival thing in the Yarra Valley. Saturday was fairly quiet; Sunday was very busy. I was exhausted last night, but we got paid well so I am happy. Lots of money for some more holiday gear.

This week will be fairly eventful, I suppose. I'm working all week (of course) and then Friday night I'm going to Human Nature with Mum :) On Saturday I have to go get my license sorted out as it's expiring, and Saturday night I'm going out for Tan's birthday to some Mexican restaurant (I think). On Sunday, Dan and I will go shop for lots of stuff, yay.

It's about 22 weeks until we leave. Hurry up!

Well, I've bitten the bullet and started exercising and eating right(ish). I feel so much better already, and I've only been doing it for a few weeks. Today I've got so much energy and feel like I'm bouncing off the walls. This is probably the normal level of energy though, so it's probably not something to get really excited about!

Well, news. Hmm, not much! Dan and I bought a rowing/cycling machine, so we're getting it today if it's come into the store. It's a really awesome machine, I can't wait to start using it. I've finally gotten sick of being a fatty and having no energy so it feels good to do something about it. Plus, if I go snowboarding in the shape I'm in now, I'll probably have a heart attack!

And now for a real entry!...

Catching up with Lish, Gug and Ben on Monday was so very nice. I see Lish a fair bit (hi Lish!), but I don't get to see Gug (hi Gug!) and Ben nearly as much as I'd like to.

I spent the day with Lish. We hung out at her house and then popped into LaTrobe, then back to her house and then out for a late breakfast. We saw History Boys, which was really good :) Had dinner with Gug and Ben at Totos on Lygon St and had coffee and cake at Brunettis.

This needs to be a regular thing!

In other news, work is chugging along. I'm there now, but I've done all my work for the day. Dan and I are seeing Pirates 3 tonight, so I'm very much looking forward to that.

Quizmania!
